About Anathi
Hello! My name is Anathi and I’m an experienced and passionate English tutor committed to helping students grow in confidence and ability. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of the Witwatersrand and a 120-hour TEFL certificate. I have over two years of experience teaching English to students aged 6 to 22, both in classrooms and one-on-one settings. I specialize in English grammar, reading comprehension, literature, and writing skills, including essay writing across different styles. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style and goals, ensuring that they are both engaging and effective. I take a patient and encouraging approach, creating a safe space for students to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve. As a private English tutor, my goal is to help students become confident, clear, and expressive communicators—both in writing and speaking. I specialize in teaching grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, literature analysis, and various writing styles including narrative, descriptive, expository, and argumentative essays.
What makes my teaching style unique is my ability to adapt each lesson to the student’s learning level, goals, and personality. With a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, a 120-hour TEFL certificate, and over two years of teaching experience in South Korea, I’ve worked with students aged 6 to 22 from different language and cultural backgrounds. I’m patient, supportive, and passionate about making English both fun and meaningful.
I offer lessons in English and Xhosa, making it easier for students who may benefit from bilingual explanations. Whether you’re just starting out or aiming to sharpen your skills, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow.
