About Olivia

Hi Everyone!
My name is Olivia and I am a native English speaker from the small island of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. Yes, hot sun all year round! I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and currently studying a Bachelor of Law at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. As you can imagine, reading and writing are heavy components of each degree and thus, I am confident that I can help you master these areas of your language learning journey.
A few years ago, I taught at my former primary school and did French, Spanish and English lessons as well. For the past 10 years, I have been coaching swimming and water polo as I am a former national athlete and so I am confident that I possess the necessary skills to teach you- both children and adults.
If you're looking for someone who is very detailed, organized and particular with respect to spelling, grammar, writing and conversation, then I am here to help you. I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on interactive, task-based learning, using role-plays, discussions, and multimedia to make lessons engaging and practical. A typical lesson includes a warm-up, introduction of new material, practice activities, and a wrap-up for review. What sets me apart is my personalized approach, tailoring each lesson to meet individual needs and goals. I cater to university students, professionals, and general learners, providing support in academic English, business communication, and overall proficiency, ensuring each session is relevant and impactful.
