About Maya
I am a guitar teacher with 7+ years of experience and an Associate of Arts in Guitar Fundamentals. I specialise in coaching students for band auditions, ensemble performance, and live shows. My lessons are supportive, focused, and performance-oriented. I emphasise stage presence, rhythmic accuracy, and collaborative musicianship. My teaching approach is designed for aspiring performers who want to excel in group settings. I focus on ensemble playing, band dynamics, stage presence, and live performance etiquette. Students gain real-world experience playing with other musicians. I work with The Fingerstyle Enthusiast and The Late Bloomer to help them perform confidently in ensembles. We practise timing, rhythm, and expressive communication within a group. Each lesson includes exercises for live performance preparation. I emphasise musical interaction, listening, and improvisation skills. Lessons are tailored to the student’s individual goals and musical style. Students develop technical proficiency and stage presence simultaneously. I provide encouraging, focused feedback to build confidence. Rehearsals and simulated performances prepare learners for auditions and gigs. I foster creativity, collaboration, and musical expression. Lessons are fun, practical, and motivating. Together, we’ll get you ready to perform with confidence.
