About Jessica
My teaching approach for singers centers on vocal wellness, mindfulness, and long-term voice care—especially for those developing solo voices or singing in church ensembles. Each lesson begins with gentle warm-ups that connect breath to sound, emphasizing healthy vocal placement and alignment. I guide students to explore their voices without tension, using relaxation techniques and stretches to release physical strain. Hydration habits are also encouraged, both during practice and throughout the day, to support vocal flexibility and clarity. For The Soloist in Training, we work on balancing technical progress with emotional expression, building a voice that is both strong and centered. For The Church Ensemble Player, we focus on blend, pitch stability, and mindful listening—while also nurturing individual tone. I introduce guided breath work tools, mindfulness timers, and simple meditation to calm the mind and support vocal focus. Students are encouraged to use vocal tracking apps to notice growth and stay motivated. Through this holistic method, singers learn to protect and celebrate their voices for the long term. Joy is just as important as precision. Singing becomes not only a skill but a grounding, uplifting practice.

I'm a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I specialize in working with young children and early teens, creating joyful and imaginative lessons that nurture their musical growth. My teaching blends games, movement, and storytelling to make pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics fun and easy to understand. Whether we’re acting out a song or dancing to the beat, every activity is designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
I love introducing students to folk tunes, Disney songs, and musical theater music that feels familiar, fun, and full of heart. My approach focuses on age-appropriate technique that gently strengthens the voice while keeping it healthy and free. I help students build confidence step by step, encouraging active listening, expressive singing, and a love for performing. Together, we explore the voice like a magical instrument.
