About Jared
My teaching approach uses rhythm as a foundation to unlock vocal timing, energy, and groove. I help students feel the beat in their body before they sing it, using movement, clapping, and vocal percussion to internalize rhythm. We work on syncopation, beat subdivision, and rhythmic phrasing to build confidence and musical flow. In styles like gospel, funk, and jazz, rhythm isn’t just background—it’s what gives the voice its soul. I guide students to understand how timing can shape emotion and impact. Whether it's tightening a funky vocal line or stretching a soulful phrase across the bar, we explore how rhythm adds meaning. I support students who naturally move with the music and sing by instinct. For those who need structure, I offer simple tools to break complex patterns into manageable steps. We also use call-and-response and looping to develop rhythm memory and improvisation skills. If you’re a creative spirit or someone rediscovering your musical side, I’ll help you connect rhythm to your voice. Every lesson blends technique with feeling. My goal is to make your voice not only heard, but felt—right in the pocket.

I’m a vocal coach, singer, and songwriter with over 8 years of experience helping artists shape their sound and elevate their craft. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Singing and specialize in working with singer-songwriters who want to refine their voice and songwriting.
