About Vivian
Hi, I’m Vivian! I’m a Mathematics graduate from UNSW who genuinely enjoys solving problems and helping others understand them too. I’m new to tutoring, but I’m patient, approachable, and believe that understanding the “why” behind math is much more valuable than memorizing formulas. I’ll work at your pace, answer as many questions as you need, and make sure you leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you started. I prefer to teach Years 7–12 math, for HSC math preferably up to extension 1. Whether you’re catching up, aiming for top marks, or just want someone to explain things in a different way, I’d love to help!

I’m offering tutoring for high school students, particularly high school and HSC Mathematics. Although I’m new to tutoring professionally, I’ve always enjoyed helping classmates understand difficult math concepts. My teaching style is patient, and focused on helping students understand how to tackle problems in smart ways. I achieved Band 6 in HSC Mathematics Advanced and E4 in Mathematics Extension 1, and I now hold a university degree in Mathematics. I can assist with homework, exam preparation, and HSC revision, adapting each lesson to the student’s pace and goals. Lessons are usually 60–120 minutes and include concept explanations, worked examples, and guided practices.
