About Shang

Having worked in broadcasting, my Chinese oral skills are highly refined. I am currently based in London and fluent in English. With a profound love for travel, I have maintained long-term communication with individuals from various countries.

I took great pride in my ability to elevate the Chinese listening and speaking capabilities of my foreign roommates to a level that astonished even the locals. I believe I can also help you.

About the lesson

Do you often feel awkward in conversation due to tone-related issues? As an experienced Chinese tutor, I understand firsthand the frustrations of struggling with tone contours.

Many learners encounter this issue while studying Chinese, as tones play a crucial role in accurately conveying meaning. My focus lies in helping students overcome tone obstacles by providing targeted exercises and practical techniques that enable them to confidently utilize correct tones.

I have encountered many friends who are interested in learning Chinese and have helped them improve their spoken language skills through communication. People from different countries face different challenges when learning Chinese, just like people from different regions in China often encounter different issues when speaking Mandarin. It's completely normal. However, once certain habits are formed, it can be challenging to address these issues in a short period of time, resulting in accents. If you are just starting to learn spoken Chinese, it is an opportune time to correct your pronunciation and tone issues to establish a solid foundation.

My teaching approach emphasizes practice and communication, enabling students to apply tones in authentic contexts while receiving feedback and guidance. Whether it's in everyday conversations, business settings, or interviews, I will assist you in overcoming tone difficulties and enhancing your communication skills, so that you feel confident when interacting with native Chinese speakers. Let's conquer this challenge together and elevate your Chinese language proficiency!

Duration of Teaching: 1 hour + 10 minutes break time (flexible).
