About Yihang

I’m Yihang, a University of Pennsylvania PPE + CS student and patient, results-oriented tutor. I’ve coached high school and first-year college students in math, economics, and Python, focusing on clarity, structure, and measurable progress. My background includes research and advocacy in accessibility, leadership in student organizations, and award-winning work on an AI learning tool—experiences that sharpen my ability to explain complex ideas simply. Students describe my lessons as calm, well-organized, and confidence-building. You can expect professional preparation, curated practice materials, and concise written recaps after each session. I tailor pacing and formats to different learning preferences, and I track improvement with clear goals and scorecards. If you want a supportive coach who treats progress like a plan, not a guess, I’m ready to help.

Hi, I’m Yihang. My college prep lessons follow a simple loop: clarity, practice, and feedback. I translate complex ideas into plain language, model solutions out loud, and use visual organizers to show how each step connects. Then we apply the concept to realistic tasks—exam-style questions, mini-mocks, or essay prompts—so you learn by doing, not memorizing.

A typical session starts with a quick check-in on goals and deadlines, followed by a focused walkthrough of one high-impact concept. We move into guided practice where I prompt your reasoning and help you build a repeatable approach. We finish with a brief timed drill or draft segment and a concise plan for what to practice next. After each lesson you’ll receive structured notes, a short recap, and a progress scorecard that makes improvement measurable.

What sets me apart is an accessibility-first teaching style—clear pacing, captioned or written recaps, and flexible strategies for different learning preferences—plus calm, actionable feedback that builds confidence. My lessons are designed for high school juniors and seniors, as well as first-year college students preparing for admissions essays, placement tests, AP/IB support, or bridge courses in math, economics, and Python. Wherever you’re starting, I’ll meet you there and help you move forward with purpose.
