About William

After a Bac S Specialty Mathematics, I pursued my passion for mathematics in the MPSI-MP Preparatory Class (Math, Physics and Engineering Science)

I passed the CPGE entry exam, and got admitted at EIVP (School of Engineers of the City of Paris) , where I got my degree in Urban Engineering. I then did a one year Master in Innovation Management (Design Thinking) at the d.school affiliated to the National School of Ponts et Chaussées, which allowed me to open up to other disciplines.

Today, and after 3 more years of studies, I am in the final year of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris Belleville to obtain my Architectural degree.

Empathy, passion and hard work.

My vision: The biggest blockage in our education system comes from the compromise between efficiency (30 to 40 students per class) and the need to move forward. It is therefore normal (what is a standard?) to have students of all levels, some even going so far as to find themselves in the two extremes cases : failure or boredom.

I therefore propose to put the raison d'être of mathematics into perspective and to use it as a basis for reviewing the points discussed in class, thus lifting frustrations that may exist. Mathematics is above all a set of description of reality, close to our French language (or English if you wish).
After a quick but necessary interview to understand the student thinking (part of which will be done with the parents if he is young), we will set up an adapted program in order fro him to succed in scientific topics and try to go beyond. Because it is useless to pass an exam if one does not understand what he learnt. Sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Life (SVT), or even Engineering Sciences are based on this foundation. Mathematics remains today the royal road of French Education.

I can also train on geometric perspectives, axonometry, cavalier perspectives, and other geometric projection systems used in the art of representation and drawing.

Finally a word for you main concerned, future pupils, especially if you are in a situation of disgust with all these subjects:
It is understandable and it is neither a problem with you nor your brain. Think about this: When you catch a ball on the fly you instinctively solve quadratic equations ... This is a complex problem of mathematics, physics, biology and engineering all at once and you do it by head ... and in seconds! Next exercise? ... :)

Sincerly yours
William WATTEQUANT
