About Leonor
I am a violist, with a Bachelor's Degree (Lisbon Superior School of Music) and two Masters in Performance (Superior School of Music and Performing Arts) and Chamber Music (Royal Conservatory of Antwerp). I try to combine both my activities as a teacher and orchestra musician, getting the best of both worlds.

I started my journey on this academic path about two years ago. I believe that the class environment is as much a learning moment for the student as it is for the teacher. I highly value the teacher-student relationship, maintaining mutual respect as an essential norm. Having a career in orchestra and being in daily contact with the practical part of playing an instrument, not only teaching it, allows me to discover new things every day in rehearsals, and individual practice, that are then shared at the time of the lesson. This aspect also allows me to give and pass on a real perception of what the professional market is, to anyone who is effectively interested in pursuing a career. On the other hand, for smaller students whose main interest is to explore a new area and different skills, with no career prospects, they will also be most welcome and with a slightly different approach. I believe that this is the greatest benefit of private lessons: a personalized adjustment to the interests and characteristics of each student.
