About Sophie
I am a violin tutor with 10 years of experience and a Master’s Degree in Classical Violin Performance. My journey in music began with early classical training and a deep interest in orchestral performance, which shaped my structured teaching approach.
I have worked with students from beginner to advanced levels, helping them build strong fundamentals and performance confidence step by step. My teaching is patient, clear, and supportive. I always adapt lessons to match each learner’s needs.
Outside teaching, I continue to explore classical repertoire and chamber music performance. This helps me stay connected to real musical practice. My goal is to help students become confident, expressive violin players.

My violin lessons focus on helping students build strong technical foundations while developing expressive musical skills in a calm and structured way. I guide learners through posture alignment, bow hold, finger placement, intonation accuracy, rhythm control, and tone development step by step. Each concept is explained clearly so students can learn without confusion or stress.
I include structured practice such as scales, bowing exercises, slow etudes, and simple repertoire pieces. Students are encouraged to practice slowly because control and accuracy improve through careful repetition. I also provide gentle correction so learners feel supported throughout the process. Every lesson is adapted to match individual progress.
As students advance, I introduce vibrato, shifting techniques, dynamic expression, and performance preparation. I help them connect emotion with sound so their playing becomes more expressive and meaningful. Over time, students gain confidence, control, and stage readiness naturally.
