About Álvar
I am a Music and Violin teacher, graduated from the Municipal School of Fine Arts of Quilmes (Buenos Aires), with 10 years of experience as a teacher in various fields (School of Classical and Contemporary Music of Quilmes, National Program of Orchestras and Children's Choirs and Youth for the Bicentennial, Escola Passatge de Barcelona, private lessons). In 2017 I was awarded a scholarship by the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation to study Composition at the Conservatori Liceu in Barcelona, a career in which I continue today. I have also done academic studies and participated in advanced courses in classical music (2015 Santa Catarina Music Festival and Music Office in Curitiba, Brazil), baroque music (OMC), jazz (Avellaneda and Grappelli-Django Popular Music School) Camp 2016, The Netherlands), tango (EMPA, Tango For Musicians 2017), Brazilian music (OMC), improvisation (III Argentine Encounter of Improvisation and Musical Composition), medieval music, etc. I have participated in various musical projects, from symphony orchestras to progressive rock groups, including jazz ensembles, tango, Argentine folklore, traditional European music, reggae, electronic music, string quartet, etc. Some artists I've played with and projects I've participated in: Bubu, Manu Chao, Andread Jó, Nau Aletheia, Vade Retro, Playback Maracas & The Electronic Moon Orchestra, Moon Quartet, Don Simón Dixie Band, Andi Pomato, Gordon Daniels , Sextet Murgier, among others. I also participated as a violinist in television programs (Merlí: Sapere Aude), plays ('Ànsia', Cía. La Salamandra), fashion shows (Pronovias 2020, Fira Nuvis) and cruises (Celebrity Reflection), and I compose music from movies (Black heart, Chicken bones, Earrings hanging from my neck).
