About Louis
I am Louis van Hemert and I worked as a Weather Scientist (Meteorologist) and computer programmer at a scientific organization for many years and now tutoring online in my fields of work. I obtained a BSc degree in Atmospheric Sciences (Meteorology) at the University of Pretoria and then I joined the South African Weather Service where I worked for more than 30 years.

I offer online tutoring in 30 min or 1-hour sessions , using Google Meet, Zoom or similar applications. We can also do screen sharing so that you can see pictures and diagrams on my screen while I show or explain things, and if you want to show me pictures or diagrams to talk about, you can share your screen with me. I usually explain thoroughly, and in a relaxed way , so that you can ask questions at any time as we go along. We can talk in English or Afrikaans, whichever you prefer.
