About Aishwarya
Hi everyone! My name is Aishwarya and I'm from the Bay Area (in California). I will be attending Barnard College of Columbia University in the City of New York next fall, majoring in Political Science with a possible minor in Computer Science.

1. I will first assess students' level of knowledge within the subject (key in planning on moving with the material!)
2. Then, I will identify a student's goal within the approach of a subject (Do they need clarity on certain topics or do they want to move faster with the material?)
3. After identifying the student's goal and level within the subject, we will move forward with the material. My approach will be to focus on visualization and methodology. This means teaching the student through examples and problem sets in order for the student to understand the content. After the student understands the material, I will "test" their knowledge by giving problems that consecutively get harder(specifically to challenge the student).
4. From my experience, I was always a student who had struggled to learn certain subjects, such as mathematics, because it can involve complexities that are challenging. However, I was able to teach myself certain techniques within my approach to these subjects that made it easier for me as a student. I find that these techniques can change a student's approach to fundamental concepts, which could be valuable through my tutoring.
5. My tutoring sessions will be open to elementary, middle, and high school students on various subjects, such as mathematics. Specifically, these are the subjects that I will be able to teach: any level of mathematics (up to Calculus AB), AP Chemistry, AP United States History, AP Psychology, AP United States Government and Politics. I have received a score of a 5 on all of these exams as well as received an "A" grade for these subjects.
