About Theresa
I am a dedicated healthcare professional with a rich and diverse educational background, spanning both the sciences and healthcare leadership. My academic journey began with an undergraduate degree in Biology, followed by graduate-level studies in Biomedical Science, where I gained a deep understanding of human biology and disease mechanisms. I continued my studies with a focus on Ethics and Society, which broadened my perspective on the social, ethical, and policy dimensions of healthcare. I also pursued graduate-level coursework in Healthcare Organizational Leadership, equipping me with the skills to lead teams, manage healthcare organizations, and drive improvements in patient care. In addition to my academic achievements, I have practical, hands-on experience as a full-time Registered Nurse. I have worked extensively as a bedside clinician, providing direct patient care, and have taken on nursing leadership roles, where I’ve guided teams, mentored new nurses, and contributed to organizational improvement initiatives. My clinical expertise and leadership experience allow me to bring a unique, real-world perspective to my teaching. With this broad educational and professional background, I am passionate about helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice.
