About Destiny
I am a passionate Mathematics tutor with over 4 years of teaching and tutoring experience and more than 60 learners taught. My passion for Mathematics comes from a very personal journey.
There was a time when I struggled with Math myself. I was the kind of student who passed my other subjects in flying colors, but Mathematics was the one subject I found difficult, and I sometimes failed it. Because of this, I was even made to feel that I was not capable of doing well in Math. Instead of allowing that experience to define me, I decided to teach myself differently.
I began breaking problems into smaller steps, practicing consistently, asking myself why each method worked and finding explanations that made sense to me rather than simply memorizing formulas. Gradually, everything changed. I went from struggling with Mathematics to becoming one of the best students in the subject.
That experience shaped the teacher I am today. I understand what it feels like to look at a Math question and think, “I don't know where to start.” I also understand how powerful it feels when that same question finally makes sense. This is why I never label a student as “bad at Math.” I believe that with the right explanation, practice and support, a struggling student can improve tremendously.
With over 4 years of teaching experience, I now help students build strong foundations, understand difficult topics, improve their school performance and prepare for WAEC and other examinations. I provide personalized one-on-one online lessons and adapt my teaching to each student's level and learning pace.
My goal is simple: to help students experience the transformation I experienced—from struggling with Math to becoming confident enough to say, “I can do this.” If I could turn my own Math journey around, I believe I can help you turn yours around too.

My approach to tutoring is simple: I first identify exactly where a student is struggling, then build their understanding step by step from the foundation. I don't believe in simply giving students formulas to memorize. I explain the “why” behind each method, use real-life examples, visual explanations, guided practice and targeted questions to make difficult Mathematics easier to understand.
My lessons are interactive and personalized. I encourage students to ask questions, explain their thinking and solve problems independently while I provide guidance and corrections along the way. For students who are struggling, I focus on closing knowledge gaps before moving to more advanced topics. With the right support and consistent practice, I can help students progress from an F towards an A.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although I can adapt the duration depending on the student's age, level and learning goals.
I have over 4 years of teaching and tutoring experience and have taught more than 60 learners, including through one-on-one online lessons. I have taught in primary and secondary school settings and have experience supporting students with schoolwork, difficult Mathematics topics, WAEC and other examination preparation.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, including learners who need to strengthen their foundations, improve their grades, prepare for examinations or simply become more confident in Mathematics. Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual level, pace and goals.
