About Keir
I have over 6 years of experience teaching Chess to students of all ages, including school children, college learners, and working professionals. My tutoring approach focuses on clear communication, creative thinking, and flexible lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs. I believe in helping students understand the strategies behind the moves, not just memorizing them. This helps them become confident players who can think ahead and adapt during games. My teaching approach to Chess is built around Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility—key elements that match the dynamic nature of the game. I believe clear communication helps students understand complex strategies easily. Creativity encourages players to think outside the box and develop unique plans on the board. Flexibility allows adapting lessons to each student’s learning style and skill level, making the experience personal and effective.
I focus on interactive discussions and practical problem-solving to develop strong thinking skills. Instead of just memorizing moves, I guide students to understand *why* certain moves work, which builds deeper knowledge. I encourage creative thinking to help players find new ways to tackle challenges during a game.
Besides Chess, I also teach related subjects like logic puzzles, critical thinking, and strategic decision-making. These areas support the mental skills needed to excel in Chess and everyday life.
I adapt my lessons to suit beginners, intermediate players, and advanced learners, making sure each session fits the student’s goals. This flexible, student-centered approach keeps learning engaging and helps build confidence.
