My teaching approach is designed to make learning piano fun, practical, and relevant to today’s popular music. I focus on modern pop piano techniques, helping students play by ear and understand chord voicings used in their favorite songs. Arranging contemporary pieces is a key part of my lessons, allowing students to create their own versions and express themselves. I believe that music should be enjoyable, especially for hobbyist adults and pop players who want to play songs they love.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and interests. I guide them step-by-step, building strong foundations while encouraging creativity. Playing by ear is emphasized, which helps develop listening skills and musical confidence. We explore chord progressions common in pop music, making it easier to follow and perform popular tunes.
My goal is to unlock the secrets of pop piano so students feel empowered to learn and perform with joy.
