About Melissa
Hello! I'm Melissa Castrillón, a Woman International Master (WIM) and FIDE instructor from Colombia. My competitive career includes winning the Colombian Women's Championship and representing my country in five Chess Olympiads, where I earned a silver medal on the 5th board in Istanbul 2012. With over 20 years of playing experience and 6 years of teaching, I am now based in Hong Kong, where I share my greatest passion: teaching chess to students of all levels.

I’d like to share my experiences and knowledge with young, motivated students. I focus on strategic thinking, tactics, and healthy competition. I create a fun but serious environment where kids gain confidence, learn from my tournament stories, and truly enjoy chess.
