About Debjyoti
Originally from India, growing up I didn't know English and struggled with it. Through immersing myself in a similar environment, using different types of media and by conversing with fellow native English speakers, I was able to master it. Hence, I understand the challenges with learning one's first vernacular and I'm here to assist you through the journey. Outside of it, I completed my Bachelors degree in Finance in the US and have been a working professional in a similar industry for over 2 years. - Grew up overseas as a non-native English speaker and mastered the language. Hence, I canaccommodate students from any background and work seamlessly through their transition.
- I use extensive visual media to make the sessions interactive and allow for 1-on-1 dialogue to improve a students' conversational proficiency. Plus, every week we meet, we would recap what we learnt with a fun quiz to assess the progress.
- I tailor a customized approach to every student after learning about their background and adjust the pace accordingly so they don't feel overwhelmed.
- The lessons are targeted towards to any middle school/high school levels and ESL (English as Secondary Language) students as well.
