About Kristin Elise
I am a world traveler who has worked and lived in North and South America, Europe and Asia. I speak fluent French and Spanish and some basic forgotten Japanese and Indonesian. I have been teaching ESL for 15 years - first to Chinese 2nd graders in San Francisco and then to adults at Miami Dade College. I no longer travel, but instead invite the world into my house via computer. I am very international and language is the gift that unites us and allows us to understand each other to create a better world.

I have taught English to both children and adults from every country imaginable. Memorizing is for homework, grammar explanations and conversation practice are for class. I have always learned languages (I speak five) by living with or being friends with the locals who speak the language. Practice make perfect. One must feel comfortable speaking and my approach is to pull the language out of someone. I make corrections and explain grammar as we practice.
