About Katrina
I am a writer and filmmaker from New York. I started tutoring part time several years ago and found it very rewarding; the best outcome for me is not only students whose writing and reading comprehension has improved, but also the newfound confidence they acquire after we work together.

I generally give classes to children aged 7-13, but am open to teaching adults as well! My lesson structure depends on what I'm teaching and to whom, but generally speaking we'll first go over the homework that was assigned from the last class, discuss and work through any points of difficulty or confusion in the assignment, then jump into new materials (either worksheets, books, writing prompts, etc.)
