About Yashi

Hey there, I'm Yashasri Cherukuri, a design enthusiast hailing from Johns Creek, Georgia. Currently I'm studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Industrial Design with a minor in UX Design. My creative journey started back in high school where i started to do graphic design, as the creative director for the school magazine. I also collaborate with Trinketz in Atlanta, designing custom gifts. I even did an interior and exterior design internship in India, where I learned the ropes of design software in Auto Cad and 3ds Max. Beyond design, I've dabbled in retail, teaching, and community service. I'm all about continuous learning and the thrill of crafting fresh, innovative designs that inspire others. Feel free to reach out or check out my work!

About the lesson

Hands-On Learning: I believe in the importance of hands-on experience. Practical projects and design exercises are integral to my teaching method, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts in a real-world context.

Constructive Feedback: Providing constructive criticism is a crucial aspect of my approach. I focus on pinpointing areas of improvement while also acknowledging and reinforcing strengths. This encourages a positive and growth-oriented mindset in students.

Interactive Discussions: I promote open discussions and dialogue during sessions. This helps students articulate their design choices, understand the reasoning behind design principles, and engage in critical thinking.

Project-Based Learning: Lessons often revolve around practical projects, mirroring the professional design process. This approach not only reinforces technical skills but also cultivates problem-solving abilities and creativity.
