About Kirsten
I am a college student studying maths, biology and chemistry at A levels. In my GCSE's I achieved 6 9'S(A**) and 5 8's(A*) in all my subjects. I started tutoring around 6 months ago and found myself loving it as I found great pleasure in helping students not only get better at maths , but make it an enjoyable experience. One thing I have found is that my students feel that when I teach the maths I phrase it in a way that is much more understandable. Moreover, I also make my lessons as fun and enjoyable as possible , often speaking to the students about things happening in the social world. I feel as a student I can offer that "from student" perspective and make students feel like it isn't just another lesson.

Usually I would start the lesson off by doing a starter on things we've covered from other lessons to make sure students do not forget how to do certain calculations. I would then go on to present a lesson on a topic that they may be covering in school , or one they have done in the past that they have struggled on. The last few parts of the lesson would then be doing questions on that topic and going through any problems they may have with their homework.
