About Dana
With over 20 years of experience working in elementary schools, primarily in first and second grade, I bring deep knowledge of how young children learn to read—and what truly helps them succeed. Throughout my career, I’ve provided targeted, effective tutoring alongside classroom teaching, helping countless students grow from hesitant readers into confident, fluent ones. My lessons are not only grounded in the Science of Reading, but also filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful progress. I specialize in meeting children exactly where they are, using a step-by-step approach that makes reading click—while keeping it fun and motivating. If you’re looking for someone who understands both the science and the heart of teaching reading, I’d love to support your child’s journey.
