About Piper
I have been teaching piano for over 9 years, and my greatest joy is helping students truly connect with music on an emotional level. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance, which gives me both the technical depth and artistic insight to guide learners at every stage. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in theory and technique while never losing sight of the expressive side of music. I believe that piano playing is not just about pressing the right keys but about telling a story and feeling every note. That’s why I balance structured practice with opportunities for creativity and exploration. Each student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual goals and strengths. Some may thrive on precision and discipline, while others flourish through imagination and play. I encourage students to listen deeply, to think musically, and to find their own voice through the instrument. Technical exercises are important, but I always connect them back to real pieces so students see their purpose. My approach is supportive, patient, and designed to inspire confidence. Over the years, I have guided beginners, intermediates, and advanced players, helping each one grow at their own pace. For me, teaching piano is about more than lessons—it’s about building a lifelong relationship with music. I design my piano lessons to be both structured and fun. I focus on building a strong base in theory while helping students sharpen their listening skills. Expressive playing is always at the centre of my teaching, because I believe music is about emotion as much as technique. To keep rhythm natural and exciting, I use movement-based rhythm games that make practice feel lively. I enjoy mixing traditional methods with creative play so students never feel stuck in one style of learning. Modern tools are also part of my approach, helping learners stay connected with today’s music world. For students interested in creating or producing their own work, I guide them in combining piano with digital platforms to bring their ideas to life. I support learners who dream of composing, arranging, or producing by giving them the skills and confidence to explore freely. Whether the goal is performance, creativity, or mastery of both, I adapt to what excites each student. Lessons are personalised, interactive, and always designed to spark curiosity. My aim is not only to teach piano but also to help students discover their own unique musical voice.
