About Ankit
Hi, I'm Ankit! I'm a 17-year-old high school student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others succeed academically.
Despite still being in high school, I've already completed five college-level mathematics courses: Calculus I at Evergreen Valley College, along with Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, and Differential Equations through UC San Diego Extended Studies.
Beyond my own coursework, I have experience tutoring college students in Calculus II, helping them understand challenging concepts and strengthen their problem-solving skills. I also serve as Head of Education for a nonprofit organization, where I help develop educational resources that make complex subjects easier to understand.
What makes my tutoring unique is that I've experienced advanced college mathematics firsthand while still being a high school student. I understand how intimidating difficult material can seem, and I believe that with the right explanations and guidance, even complicated topics can become manageable.
My goal is to make mathematics approachable, engaging, and rewarding for students of all levels. Whether you're working through algebra, preparing for a calculus exam, or exploring more advanced mathematics, I'm here to help you build a strong foundation and develop confidence in your abilities.

My approach to tutoring focuses on helping students actually understand math rather than just memorize formulas. I believe that once students understand why something works, solving problems becomes much easier. I break down complicated concepts into smaller, manageable steps and adjust my teaching style based on each student's needs.
A typical online lesson starts with identifying what the student is struggling with. I then explain the concept, walk through a few example problems step by step, and have the student try similar problems independently. Throughout the lesson, I encourage questions and make sure the student understands each step before moving forward.
What sets me apart is my experience with advanced mathematics at a young age. At 17, I've already completed college-level courses in Calculus I, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics, while also studying Differential Equations. I've also tutored college students in Calculus II, giving me experience explaining challenging material to students at different levels.
I offer personalized online lessons for middle school, high school, and college students, covering subjects from Pre-Algebra and Algebra to Precalculus, Calculus, and other advanced math topics. Whether you're preparing for an exam, struggling with homework, or looking to get ahead, my goal is to help you build confidence and become a more independent problem solver.
