About Emily
I am a dedicated and motivated person who is passionate about studying. Having recently completed my IGCSEs, I have a strong understanding of the current IGCSE curriculum and exam expectations, particularly in IGCSE Biology (specifically 4BI1). Biology is a strong passion of mine, and I am about to embark on a Biology A-level journey.
I achieved consistently high grades in Biology and developed effective revision techniques that I now aim to pass on in a clear way. I understand how challenging Biology can feel, and I focus on making concepts easier to understand.
My approach is patient, structured and encouraging with an emphasis on building skills. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My approach to tutoring is calm, supportive and focused on building confidence as well as skills. I break topics down and use lots of guided practice. I also focus on exam technique, showing students how to structure and approach answers.
My lessons will be 1 hour at a time, although this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs and concentration level.
I am a 16-year-old recent GCSE student with extremely strong results in Biology and I understand the current IGCSE curriculum well. I bring a recent first-hand understanding of what examiners are looking for.
My lessons will be aimed at KS3 students aged 11-14 who want to improve their Biology skills, build confidence and prepare for GCSE-level work. From August I will be able to offer IGCSE support for students aged 14-16. (I am currently awaiting official results day)
