About Maria
"Securing a 99+ ATAR provided the foundation for my entry into the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Queensland. I have spent 4 years teaching students who need rigorous academic support.
Working with adult learners returning to science allows me to see how different age groups process biological concepts. A-level students often struggle with the transition to higher level study where I provide the necessary bridge. AP Biology students frequently require help with molecular biology and homeostasis to succeed in their assessments.

"Sometimes the hardest part of learning biology is realizing that you do not actually understand an enzyme mechanism until you try to explain it out loud. I spend the first part of our time together identifying your specific gaps in knowledge.
We then move into a structured walkthrough of complex topics like lab report writing or microbiology. I focus on breaking down dense content into manageable pieces for every student. This process ensures that you build a solid foundation rather than just memorizing facts. You can expect a logical and patient walkthrough of every concept during our time together."
