About Shelli

Graduating from USC Thornton with a Bachelor of Music degree defined my formal education, yet my heart remains in the FRENCH CLASSICAL TRADITION I absorbed growing up. Sitting at a cafe in Paris, I realized that language is more than grammar; it is the rhythm of daily life and the subtle nasal sounds that define cultural context. With 3 years of experience, I guide beginners through everyday phrases while ensuring advanced learners capture the nuance of idioms and expressions.

Do you want to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real life conversation? I bring professional business French and travel expertise to our sessions, emphasizing accent and intonation to help you speak with clarity. Have you ever wondered why native speakers seem to glide through their words so effortlessly?

About the lesson

Focusing on your specific needs, we start with a diagnostic level test to build a plan that respects your individual starting point. Because I believe in getting you moving before discussing theory, we skip the dry textbooks and prioritize role play and dialogue practice immediately.

My degree from USC Thornton informs how I structure our time, blending the discipline of French pedagogy with the practical requirements of your goals. You will find that I teach the shortcut only after the long way makes sense, ensuring you understand the mechanics behind liaison and nasal sounds before we advance.

Since I prioritize movement over static study, you will spend the bulk of our time speaking rather than listening to me lecture. This diagnostic approach allows us to see exactly where you are and where you need to go next. We will spend 10.0 sessions refining your accent through targeted drills that feel like natural conversation. Your journey toward fluency begins here with a clear strategy.
