About Lizzie
I am a Graduate Violinist from the Royal Northern College of Music, with a Bachelor's (with Hons) in Music performance. I started the violin aged 7, and took my first Grade 8 aged 12.
From age 9, I have been immersed in the orchestral scene, starting from back-desk 2nd violin, and working my way forward to now playing Solo Concertos with multiple Yorkshire/North-based orchestras. Some great learning experiences I had as a youth playing in orchestras came from when I was in Junior RNCM, as well as Halle Youth, and learning loads from not just the people around me, but also from the professional tutors.
Now, I work as a freelance violinist in multiple music groups, some of which I have set up myself. This means I now perform in various different events, venues and locations across the UK. A notable recent experience I had the pleasure of having was doing a Christmas Tour with 'The Christmas Orchestra' across England, Wales and Scotland.

My name is Lizzie, and I aim to ensure every pupil leaves my lessons with a smile on their face, with a reinforced love for music. Whilst attending the Royal Northern College of Music, my violin teacher taught me a lot about how much a love of music can positively impact my life, and how being as relaxed and free as possible whilst playing can help this.
My teachings are fully influenced by how she made me feel playing the violin; a relaxed, free technique that ensures all emotions can be portrayed with as much ease as possible. This develops strong foundations for people just starting out, and also helps reinforce what experienced players already know.

An additional coverage of travel expenses to match the spendings would be required for students wanting lessons at their home in-person.
First lesson would be free, and over webcam as a 1-2-1. This would be more of a chance to get to know each other, and would be more of a chat to see what goals you want to achieve from your lessons.
