About James
I am an engineering consultant with a history of tutoring maths and science. I enjoy teaching and mentoring people to help guide them to their full capabilities.
I believe that Maths can be learnt in a different way to the classroom environment and it can be understood by a wider audience and learnt at a faster ratewhen we learn the structure andlogic that makes maths make sense.

Maths can be a lot of fun. I focus on explaining the basic principles that can be used on multiple problems so you don't have to memorise lots and lots of content.
I tailor each lesson specifically to the student, howeve, I like to start with a general understanding of the topic followed by working on a problem together, then finishing that lesson with unassisted problem solving and feedback. I am happy to provide supporting problem sets to complete between lessons that can assist with accelerated feedback and growth.
