About Tessa
I am a piano teacher with over 9 years of experience and an Associate of Music in Piano Skills. I help students preparing for church worship, community theater, and professional wedding band performances.
My lessons are personalized and motivating, designed to build technique, musical confidence, and performance skills. Students learn accompaniment, improvisation, and practical strategies for ensemble playing.
I guide students in sight-reading, chord voicings, and rhythm accuracy. Lessons include supporting singers, following conductors, and adapting to multiple musical styles. Each session combines technical exercises with musical creativity.
Whether performing in worship, theater, or weddings, my goal is to develop versatile, confident pianists. Lessons balance hands-on practice with musical exploration.
I encourage students to build their unique musical voice, expressiveness, and confidence. Together, we strengthen technique, musicality, and performance skills. I invite students to start lessons and achieve their full musical potential.

I teach piano by combining theory with practical application. Lessons cover fundamentals, chord progressions, inversions, and harmonic analysis, applied directly on the keyboard.
I work with exam takers and classical performers, giving exercises that improve both understanding and playing. Students learn to analyze harmonies, create chord progressions, and apply theory in improvisation and performance.
I include hands-on exercises in chords, inversions, and harmonic analysis, showing how theory informs musical decisions. Students build confidence, analytical skills, and creative ability.
The goal is to develop a strong theoretical foundation that enhances both performance and composition. Students leave lessons able to improvise, compose, and play with understanding. Together, we make theory accessible, practical, and fun.
