About Juniper
Hi! I'm a passionate piano tutor with over 14 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. Music has always been the center of my life, and I love sharing that joy with others through teaching. I also enjoy composing and songwriting, and I often bring that creative spark into my lessons. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and tailored to each student's goals, whether you're a school student, college learner, working adult, or a performing professional. I specialize in jazz and contemporary styles but also help students build a strong foundation in sight-reading, chord theory, and improvisation. Performance skills are a key part of my approach, and I guide students to express themselves confidently and naturally on stage or in recordings. I’ve worked with learners from intermediate and advanced levels to those pursuing professional or expert-level playing. My lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing space for exploration, creativity, and growth. I emphasize real musical understanding rather than rote repetition. Whether you're preparing for a live performance, expanding your theory knowledge, or writing your own music, I’m here to support and inspire you. My piano teaching approach is tailored for students aiming to perform, compete, or record at their best. I focus not just on playing the notes, but on crafting expressive and polished musical experiences. Students learn how to develop beautiful phrasing, dynamic control, and confident stage presence. We work on posture and hand technique to ensure comfort, accuracy, and endurance during long sessions or live performances.
For those preparing for recordings, I integrate digital tools like DAWs and audio analysis apps to fine-tune tone, timing, and expression. I guide students in using technology to evaluate and improve their own playing, helping them become independent and self-aware musicians.
I support learners in both classical and contemporary styles and provide specialized coaching for church performances, exams, and structured auditions. Whether it’s live on stage or in front of a microphone, I help students manage nerves, build focus, and perform with heart. Every lesson is goal-driven but also flexible to fit the student’s pace and personality.
With consistent feedback and a motivating atmosphere, I help students unlock their best performance.
