About Jeff
I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer who has been teaching professionally over 20 years. I have taught students from many continents around the world in the range of preschool and elementary upward to teenage and adult learners. After earning a Bachelor's in Music Theory and Composition, I began a career in teaching piano through two different private piano schools in two different parts of the country and now run my own private studio. I am also a published author, with my recent book "Engineering of Music for the Digital Age: Creativity in Music Composition" through River Publishers highlighting some of the ways I bring many topics into my lessons in order to customize to the student.

Whether you are wanting to get back into it or just beginning, I can help chart a course to get you playing piano. With strategies to help you improve reading, playing with hands in parallel, and understanding music theory, I offer guidance from beginning to advanced curriculum and piano literature. I welcome input as to any styles and pieces you want to play while still incorporating key principles and methodologies to help improve with each lesson. I am a patient teacher looking to provide students with fun, engaging lessons with the goal of creating recreational players who enjoy a lifetime love for music.
