About Mike
I am an English yoga, breathwork and mindfulness instructor living in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. My work centres on helping people build strength, clarity and emotional balance through accessible, grounding and well-structured yoga sessions. I integrate breathwork, mindfulness and supportive coaching into the practice to create a complete experience that strengthens both body and mind.
Yoga is at the heart of how I teach. Over the years I have supported hundreds of students and clients, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners, and I always tailor each class to the individual. Whether you are looking to improve flexibility, build strength, release tension, reduce stress or develop a deeper sense of wellbeing, I create sessions that meet you exactly where you are.
Alongside yoga, I draw from breathwork, meditation, mobility work, fitness training and cold exposure when helpful. These additions are used only to enhance your practice, supporting nervous system regulation, emotional balance and a greater sense of inner steadiness, while keeping yoga as the foundation of the session.
Outside of teaching, I am interested in health, fitness, music, studying, cooking and learning about different cultures. I have travelled widely across Europe, Asia and Central and South America, and I bring this openness and curiosity into my work with students.
My sessions are relaxed, friendly and grounded in practical tools you can use every day. I aim to create a space where you feel supported, understood and able to progress at your own pace. My sessions focus on helping you develop clarity, resilience and emotional balance through yoga, breathwork and mindfulness. These three elements form the foundation of my approach. I guide you through practical tools for regulating the nervous system, managing stress, improving self-awareness and building a healthier relationship with your thoughts, habits and daily life. Each session supports mental strength, calm energy and a deeper connection with yourself.
Every session is tailored specifically for the individual. I take into account your goals, challenges, lifestyle, experience and personal preferences to create a practice that fits you. This makes the work accessible, supportive and effective, whether you are new to yoga and breathwork or already familiar with them.
You will learn simple, reliable breathing and mindfulness techniques that reduce stress, improve focus and help you feel more grounded. My teaching and coaching style is supportive, enjoyable and relaxed, while still offering structure, accountability and high-quality guidance. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood and encouraged. When you feel at ease and supported, real progress happens naturally.
If helpful, I can also integrate complementary practices such as meditation, mobility work, calisthenics and functional movement. These additions are optional and are included only when they support the physical, mental and emotional goals of the session, while keeping yoga and breathwork at the centre of the experience. This creates a holistic approach that strengthens both mind and body.
You will finish each session feeling clearer, calmer and more connected to yourself, with practical tools you can use every day.

I discovered power yoga with Mike about five years ago, and it completely changed my opinion about yoga in general. It’s fun, challenging, and deeply rewarding. I also took English classes with him, which I absolutely loved. Our lessons always included relaxed, interesting conversations, and he always prepared great topics to discuss. After those classes, I felt much more confident using English, and my vocabulary expanded a lot.

Life can get pretty challenging at times, and Mike’s good-humoured, steady approach always feels motivating and grounding. With the personal online sessions he really goes out of his way to find times that work around my schedule, and he tailors each class to exactly what I need on the day — whether that’s gentle or power yoga, breathwork, or different mindfulness techniques.
