About Almudena
Hello! I'm a registered teacher by Yoga Alliance. I have been practicing Yoga since 2009, I started including it as part of my training in my dance career and I was so hooked that I decided to start teaching to be able to transmit to others this discipline that had done so much for me. Besides the 200 RYT, my professional career in dance has led me to work with the body for many years. I hold a BA HONS in Contemporary Dance, which makes my classes creative. I have taught both group and private classes. I started in Madrid in 2016 and I currently teach in local studios such as La Casa del Yoga, Estudio A y K, Yoga Kurma and Centro Cenith.

My classes are Hatha / Vinyasa or Yin, depending on the needs of each student. I work specifically with each person and body, always respecting the limits. I usually start with pranayama (breathing techniques) to bring the body and mind to the practice. Then we continue with asanas (physical poses) and finish with a final relaxation (yoga Nidra and shavasana). As a teacher, I am specific with the alignment (my first practices as a student were in the Iyengar method) and breathing is always a fundamental part of the practice. I like to offer an experience beyond the physical aspect, which also serves as a way to connect with oneself and grow as a person.

Es muy respetuosa con el cuerpo, te corrige constantemente para q no fuerces y no te lesiones, da mucha tranquilidad y explica muy claramente. Es genial!
Además de ser muy amable, Almudena es la mejor profesora de yoga que he tenido. Conoce a la perfección las asanas y te ayuda a corregir la postura cuando tú pensabas que lo estabas haciendo bien. Te cuenta a parte el porqué de cada cosa, transmitiendo los valores y la filosofía del yoga
Creo que aunque de Almudena destacaría su conocimiento y control sobre el cuerpo físico y su anatomía, personalmente también me gusta que tiene siempre presente lo espiritual y como nos guía en la relajación y en la conexión con unx mismx.
También valoro que al mismo tiempo, va dando pequeñas pinceladas sobre cultura y tradición yóguica.
Además, siempre está en escucha y atenta a las necesidades del grupo e individuales (intereses, ganas, lesiones...).Almudena tiene años de experiencia como profesora de danza y de yoga a la espalda, y eso se nota en sus clases. Siempre está muy atenta a una correcta alineación y sus pequeñas explicaciones de anatomía ayudan a tener una mayor consciencia corporal. Además, en sus clases incluye ejercicios de pranayama y algunos toques de filosofía del yoga, lo cual es de agradecer para quienes buscamos algo más que una práctica física. Su personalidad transmite mucha paz y serenidad, algo que creo que muchos buscamos al ir a una clase de yoga. Le recomiendo totalmente!
