About Ellie
I'm a huge believer in the life changing power of a good education and I've been working in this field for almost 15 years. I offer 1:1 and small group tuition in Leeds and online.
I work with students studying towards UK exams including the 11+, GCSE and A-Level and with home educated students and students for whom English is a second language including business English and IELTs.
Who I Work With:
GCSE and A-Level
Keep your child one-step ahead by giving them intensive 1:1 support focussed directly on their learning needs. Each lesson is individually tailored to your child whatever their level and ensures they are fully supported and understand exactly how to achieve their personal best.
11+ including GSAL entry
11+ exam preparation can be an anxious time for families. Obviously you want your children to do well, but you also don’t want to weigh them down with a fear of failure. My 11+ entrance exam lessons are fun while ensuring that your child knows exactly what to expect and has the confidence to tackle it.
English as a foreign language
I work directly with students for whom English is an additional language whatever the level. I offer advanced British accent training and I am highly responsive to the needs of learners. I tailor my lessons to ensure language skills are developed while also addressing cultural issues that may impact on communication.
Academic proof-reader
As a first class graduate I am able to offer proof-reading services at the highest level. Having a professional check your work before you submit is an investment in your future and can lift an essay up an entire degree class. I offer this service remotely and am usually able to return an essay in 48 hours.
Specialised English language trainer for national and international companies
Language tuition is increasingly offered as part of a package by businesses looking to offer an extra incentive to their employees or clients. I work directly with a number of different agencies offering either intensive courses or regular weekly lessons for individuals and small groups.
