About Rebecca

Hi, I’m Ms. Rebecca O. Abayomi — a dedicated and results-driven English Tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience across global curricula. I teach learners from the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, helping them build confidence in reading, writing, speaking, grammar, and exam preparation. My teaching style is simple, practical, and learner-centered. I paint clear mental pictures, use relatable examples, and break concepts down in ways students can easily understand. Because every learner is unique, I meet you exactly where you are — guiding you step-by-step until you gain mastery. I use digital tools like Google Classroom, interactive e-questions, and instructional video lessons to reinforce learning and track progress. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a strong foundation that enhances my analytical approach to teaching English. I also have professional training and certifications in online tutoring, digital learning, and curriculum-aligned instruction. Over the years, I’ve taught English across multiple levels — from elementary to high school — and have helped learners prepare for standardized exams such as IELTS, SAT English, English Placement Tests, and various school-based assessments. I currently work with international online tutoring platforms, where my teaching follows major global curricula, including the American (Common Core), British (IGCSE), Canadian, and Australian standards. I specialize in helping students improve grammar, comprehension, creative writing, communication skills, and academic English. Teaching is not just my profession — it’s my passion. My goal is to help every learner grow, gain confidence, and become a better version of themselves. Kindly book a session with me.

About the lesson

I teach English both online and in-person, using different tools to help my students learn better. On Google Classroom, I give different assignments to build reading and writing skills. With e-questions, students answer and submit their work online. I also use video lessons to explain English concepts in a simple and engaging way.
