About Wenbin
I am a composer and guitarist based in Cincinnati. My music blends contemporary Western techniques with ancient Oriental culture, and I often find inspiration in birds, science, and video games. I’ve received fellowships from festivals like Tanglewood, Cabrillo, Bowdoin, and Britten Pears, and my works have been performed at more than 80 international festivals. I’ve also collaborated with ensembles such as Eighth Blackbird, Sandbox Percussion, and the Akropolis Quintet. Alongside composing, I love teaching—I’ve taught at several colleges across the Midwest and enjoy helping students grow in confidence, creativity, and artistic voice.
