About Ryan
I am a Berklee College of Music graduate and a singer-songwriter. For me, music is a mysterious magic and my favorite thing in the world. I've always thought the guitar was a very special instrument. It breathes and vibrates and sings, and each performance is a tango with a friend. I have spent my life loving and studying the instrument and it is very meaningful for me to help my students improve and further enjoy playing the instrument themselves.

I teach acoustic and classical guitar at all levels with an emphasis on the fingerpicking style, such as the styles of Paul Simon, Nick Drake, James Taylor, and many other wonderful guitarists. My lessons are personalized to the individual wants and needs of each student and I enjoy helping my students understand not only technique but also what they are doing on a music theory level. The most fun part of my lessons are always helping students with their own original songs and compositions.
