About Amaya

I’m a French tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in French with a Concentration in European Cinema. My lessons are immersive and conversational, designed to make learning feel like a real-life culinary journey. I specialize in helping students practice French through gastronomy and culture. We explore vocabulary for ingredients, cooking techniques, and restaurant etiquette in context. You’ll learn how to speak like a native — while talking about food, wine, and dining experiences. I love bringing French cuisine to life in my lessons, from Provençal dishes to Parisian cafés. My approach combines culture, language, and taste. Students often find that discussing meals and flavors makes grammar and conversation flow naturally. I create a warm and relaxed space where curiosity leads the way. Together, we’ll discover the beauty of language through flavor. Join me for a delicious adventure into French language and culture.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on real-world communication and wellness. I design lessons that help learners talk confidently about everyday health and lifestyle topics in French. You’ll learn how to describe symptoms, ask for advice at the pharmacy, and speak to a doctor naturally. We’ll also discuss habits like eating well, staying active, and managing stress — all in French. Each session blends practical vocabulary with real conversational practice. I believe language learning should feel alive, not academic. That’s why my lessons often use short dialogues, role-plays, and real scenarios. You’ll feel comfortable using French in daily health situations. I encourage curiosity and build confidence through repetition and support. I’m especially experienced in helping travelers and academic learners speak spontaneously and clearly. Together, we’ll make French feel like a tool for personal care. My goal is to help you communicate easily about your well-being. Let’s make learning both healthy and fun.
