About Sylvester

Completing my MEng in Computer Science at Oxford provided the technical foundation I now apply to competitive programming and interview preparation. I focus on algorithms and JavaScript while maintaining a speciality in SQL and databases as well as web development. Beginners often feel overwhelmed by the invisible steps of coding, so I break complex logic into small, manageable pieces. I have taught a wide variety of students over the years, ensuring my role eventually becomes redundant as they gain independence.

About the lesson

Coding logic clicks into place when you see the invisible steps made visible through code. I use my Oxford background to explain why a specific loop or database query behaves the way it does during our 9.0 rated sessions.

We build small components into larger systems while I guide you through the trial and error of building real applications. This process feels less like a lecture and more like a collaboration between two engineers solving a problem.

My goal is to ensure you possess the confidence to handle any syntax or architecture you encounter later. Progress happens when we dismantle the fear of the blinking cursor together. You will reach a point where you no longer need my guidance to navigate your projects.
