About Zach
I graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 2021 with a B.S. in Computer Science. During my time at Yale, I spent several semesters working as a peer tutor or undergraduate learning assistant for the Computer Science and Math departments. During my senior year and after graduating, I worked as a Computer Science Fellow for the online education company Juni Learning. At Juni, I taught personalized lessons in Scratch, Python, Java, and web development; assisted in developing new curriculum; and recruited and trained new instructors. In my free time, I love to cook, read, draw, rollerblade, dance, and much more. I believe in compassionate teaching, and I look forward to meeting you!

I have experience teaching computer science principles to students ranging in age from elementary to undergraduate. Thus I tailor my lessons to meet each student at their experience level and understanding. My approach to teaching any topic includes introducing it with guided examples, followed by practice exercises increasing in difficulty for the student to work on until we're both confident in their comprehension of the concept. I strongly encourage curiosity and questions at any point in a lesson, reinforcing my belief that learning is a joint effort.
