About Rajib
I am a music teacher who teaches people singing and voice lessons. I have taught in schools from elementary to high school levels, and taught many students. I am responsible for directing the school bands, choirs and orchestras. I also teach appreciation, theory, or composition classes to advanced students. I also give lessons on an individual basis, and work out of their homes or from a music store as a private music teacher.

This is one of my fun music theory games for the classroom. I make up a set of flash cards. Each card should show a group of notes, such as four eighth notes (quavers), or a simple rhythm mixing two note values. You need enough cards for every student to have one each.
Then I hand out the flash cards to the class. Then I let them clap or play a simple rhythm. The students look at each other’s cards and put together the rhythm you played. Gradually I increase the complexity and length of the rhythms. This is a great way for my students to understand note values and develop their musical memory. It also teaches teamwork as they must work together to create the rhythms.
