About Brandon

I am a native Afrikaans speaker with a thorough understanding of the language and literature part of the subject. As part of my theory of literature degree, I have complete Afrikaans and communication modules that enable me to pass a solid understanding.

About the lesson

I am comfortable teaching both first and first additional language students. Particularly in the FET (10 - 12) or GET band (8 & 9).

I, unfortunately, won't be able to help younger learners.

My style:
Depending on the setting, I will give your child a better understanding of the language, using worksheets, as well as helping them navigate the more complex rules of the language.

For literature, I will help students understand figurative language and how it's used in Afrikaans. I will help them understand the themes of their novels and equip them to answer essay or contextual questions regarding poetry, prose, and plays.

Bokang

I have known Brandon for five years and he has had to train me on some things. He is enthusiastic whenever he has to teach people something, and most importantly, patient. He breaks difficult concepts down into small simple pieces and won’t give up until you understand fully. Always on time and always committed to what he says he will do. Great tutor/mentor/teacher.
