About Fatemah
I am a fifth-year medical student at the University of Manchester, graduating this year, with a strong passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students achieve their goals.
My journey as a tutor began while I was studying for my A-levels, when I started tutoring GCSE Chemistry. Seeing students go from feeling overwhelmed by a topic to genuinely understanding it showed me how rewarding teaching can be and sparked a passion that has continued throughout my academic career.
Since then, I have worked with MCS Projects, delivering workshops to aspiring medical students on UCAT preparation, medical school interviews, communication skills, professionalism, and the key attributes needed to become a successful doctor. I have also worked with Elevate Education, supporting students aged 13–18 and collaborating with schools to help hundreds of students prepare effectively for exams and achieve the grades they were aiming for. Alongside my degree, I regularly tutor junior medical students through university societies, giving me extensive experience in breaking down complex concepts into clear, accessible explanations.
These experiences have taught me that every student learns differently. As a result, I tailor my teaching style to each individual, focusing not only on improving knowledge and performance but also on building confidence. Whether through mock interviews, practice questions, structured feedback, or step-by-step guidance, my goal is to ensure students understand the reasoning behind their answers and develop skills that will benefit them long after the session has ended.
I place a strong emphasis on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Having recently gone through the medical school application process myself, I understand the challenges applicants face and the difference that good mentorship can make. I strive to be approachable, patient, and encouraging in every session, helping students feel confident in their abilities and prepared for whatever comes next.
Beyond interview preparation, I am also happy to offer guidance on the wider Medicine application process, including UCAT preparation, admissions tests, application strategy, and insights from my own journey into medicine. My aim is not just to help students secure an offer, but to equip them with the confidence, skills, and mindset needed to thrive throughout their medical careers.

I am a fifth-year medical student at the University of Manchester, graduating this year, and I offer personalised 1-to-1 tutoring for students preparing for Medical School interviews.
