About Sarra

Native French speaker from Paris who speaks four languages. Passionate about communication and culture, I love helping students find their voice in French, not just through grammar, but through real conversation and confidence. Whether you’re learning for travel, study, or work, I adapt each lesson to your goals and pace. Based in Ponsonby, Auckland, I can teach in person (within 10 km), at your home, a cozy café, a library, or online.

About the lesson

Bonjour ! I’m Sarra, a native French speaker from Paris now based in Auckland, passionate about languages, connection, and helping people feel confident when they speak.
Whether you’re starting from scratch, preparing for a trip to France, studying for an exam, or simply dreaming of sounding more natural in conversation, I’ll guide you step by step, with structure, encouragement, and a touch of fun.

What I Offer:
Personalised one-on-one lessons, online anywhere in NZ or in person in Auckland.
Fun, effective & confidence-building sessions, fully adapted to your goals.
Focus on speaking, listening, grammar, and pronunciation through real-life situations.
Practical role plays, cultural insights, and vocabulary you’ll actually use.
Exam preparation (DELF/DALF, school or university support).

My Approach:
My teaching style is interactive and supportive. I believe in learning through real communication, not memorisation — because when you feel comfortable, your confidence grows naturally.
Each lesson is tailored to your level and personality, blending conversation, structure, and creativity to help you progress fast while enjoying the process.
A typical class lasts 60 minutes, with flexible hours.
I’m fluent in English, which makes it easy for me to explain tricky grammar points or expressions when needed.

About Me:
I hold two Master’s degrees (Banking & Finance, and International Strategy) and several years of professional experience in Europe before transitioning to teaching and wellness coaching.
My background allows me to connect with students from all walks of life, from young learners to professionals wanting to work or live in French-speaking countries.
Above all, I create a space where you can learn, make mistakes, and grow with ease, because speaking a new language is not just about words… it’s about confidence.

Sarra is a fantastic teacher. I have been looking for a good french teacher for a while now and I can say she is really great, I will continue to learn french from her. She makes learning french really fun, which is the most important part - meaning I am learning without noticing. Additionally, she is really professional and super knowledgeable. I would recommend her for everyone. A+++++++
