About Muriel

I've been in love with French since my childhood. I've been a French tutor for 2 years, in Brussels (Belgium) and in Washington DC. I'm creative and motivated, and I'm committed to helping you progress to the level you wish to reach, at your own pace. My students are adults, teenagers and children.

About the lesson

Doing things seriously without taking oneself too seriously. That's my motto! I adapt to the needs of each student, because each person is unique. However, I'm convinced that pleasure is an essential factor in learning. Therefore, whatever your level, I will accompany you towards more fluency in your oral expression, more vocabulary, better pronunciation, better written expression (if needed), and I will answer to your spelling, grammar or understanding questions.

I met Muriel at a French conversation group in Washington, D.C. She's a warm, kind, funny person and a great French teacher. Muriel was able to correct my mistakes and help me learn new phrases and words during our lessons, as well as insights into Belgian and French culture. She was also flexible with topics that I wanted to focus on, including situational dialogs, watching stand-up comedy, and reading screen plays. She is very encouraging and supportive as a teacher.
