About Pops

Hello everyone,

My name is Pops Amisi, and I am originally from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. I am a qualified native French tutor with over 14 years of professional teaching experience.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching French at Alliance Française in Pretoria, Sunnyside, South Africa, where I worked with students from across the globe, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and many other countries.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Linguistics, and I am well-versed in internationally recognized curricula, including the DELF/DALF, Cambridge framework and other structured programs designed to make French accessible and engaging for non-native speakers.

My teaching approach focuses on clarity, practical communication, and building confidence, ensuring that learners of all levels can achieve measurable progress in their French language journey.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Whether you are a complete beginner or preparing for DELF/DALF examinations, I design lessons that are practical, interactive, and results-oriented.

I use internationally recognized teaching methods and real-life communication exercises to help students gain confidence and fluency. My approach is supportive and patient, ensuring that every learner progresses at a comfortable yet effective pace.
